I guess I just see things a bit differently. I remember when I was a kid growing up, debates were all the rage. I remember Marvin Hicks, in particular, debating the trinitarians, and I was in awe.
Now, what if Bro. Hicks would have said, "I"m here to tell you the truth, and you just keep your mouth shut and learn"? Several people would have been robbed of the opportunity to hear the gospel.
I rather view the forum the same way - I may debate someone who's beliefs I feel are false, or at best, incomplete, and I may say, "Why do I waste my time with these people", but the ones who may benefit the most are the readers.
And, if you banish every person from this forum who desires to debate scripture, you are shutting down multiple opportunities to spread the gospel.
