Segundo trabalho feito pela Secretaria Geral da Presidência da República com base na Pnad 2006 (Pesquisa Nacional por Amostra de Domicílios), do IBGE, dos 34 milhões jovens urbanos do país, 7,4 milhões tiveram de um a sete anos de estudo --período insuficiente para concluir o ciclo-- e 813,2 mil são analfabetos.
No topo da lista de exclusão estão cinco Estados do Nordeste. O líder é Alagoas, com 46% dos jovens em uma dessas duas situações. Na outra ponta do ranking está São Paulo, com 15% de exclusão.

The most interesting part I was trying to tell an American why we have so many Bible skits act out so many things is to help those that cannot read. the American told me we were full of entertainment...lol...Some that come over have no idea what it is to work on the mission field...
I have stood and used old flannelgraph and told Bible stories and grown people have sat spellbound listening...
