I am not trying to get an 1 stepper and 3 stepper debate started here. Neverhteless, Have you ever sat back and thought about the early days of the latter day outpouring. I mean can you imagine being in a pray meeting at Azusa. I have read many stories about common women and men involved in these prayer meetings -- praying in the spirit and a man or woman from a foreign land walking in and hearing their own language (like in
Acts 2).
Well all of these people were at that time trinitarians. Jesus name baptism did not become an issue for more than 8 to 5 years later.
My point in all of this is we easily brag about the topeka and azusa occurences as if these people our part of are heritage and yet they were all trinitarians. I believe strongly in Jesus name baptism (I got rebaptized in Jesus name), but I don't forget that those first oneness believers wanted to stay in the AG and they wanted to fellowship with those people.
What happens to them should concern us!
