For those not familiar with it - an ectopic pregnancy occurs when the fetus is implanted and develops within the fallopian tubes. Once the size of the baby is great than the diameter of the tube - well, both mother and baby die. The only way to save the mother is to terminate the pregnancy.
It's rather hard for a caregiver to break such sad news to an expectant mother. Things just get worse when you call the mother a "murderer." Or imagine turning to the father and saying, "I need you to sign the execution order so that the hospital isn't responsible for the murder of your child - you must accept responsibility for this murder!"
The father then responds, "What if I don't sign...?" The answer is shouted back - "Then you've murdered both mother and baby, you callow swine! Hell's too good for you!"
The mother faints to the floor, her body convulses occasionally with sobs. "So what's it gonna be, Killer?" the doctor demands of the father. "Do we snuff the dame and the baby or just the baby?"
I would prefer to avoid such an upsetting conflict, especially in a public place like a hospital.

Very good post. You are right. I guess I should have been more clear.
I am speaking of those who have abortions simply for convenience.
Also, Brother Rutledge you make a very good point. I know women who have had abortions in their past. They have repented and God has forgiven them. Sadly, many of them continue to live with the guilt of a bad choice.
