I need you guys to help me!

The latest developments (and I'm really starting to hate the state of IL about now!):

I called the Dept of Licensing to ask about personally delivering my paperwork to get things done faster. She asked if I sent in my application with my temp license info. I said no cause I was waiting on other paperwork. She said waiting for that wasn't necessary. The temp license would cover me until I got everything else in. Ok, so NOW you tell me!!

So, she said bringing it up there wouldn't benefit me anymore than sending it next day mail, which I did today, and it will be delivered by noon tomorrow.

I also put in a note, pleading with them to expedite my temp license so I can start work on Aug 25th. I'm calling next Thursday to see if they completed it, as they don't post that info online like WI does, and I don't care to be at the mercy of the USPS. They said my employer can also call to verify the info.

So, now it's just a waiting game, I suppose. In the meantime, I'll continue getting my house put together!
