I'm using a base that's already mixed and it doesn't contain lye. I didn't want to work with lye. It's kind of like my husband's table saw - off limits. My mind is too far ahead to pay attention to what is sitting in front of me -dangerous!
My base has:
Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, Sodium Stearate, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut Oil, Sodium Laurate, Sodium Myristate, Triethanolamine, Sodium Cocoate, Water, Titanium Dioxide
Pretty basic. I'm going to order Goat's Milk base next and see how I like it.
