I guess it's because I don't understand, but why is it that someone who has black blood in them is considered black, especially by non-blacks? I mean, do black people look at a black man with his white wife's baby and say, 'look at that man with his white baby'? Know what I mean?
Or maybe I'm just stupid and uneducated about such matters.
He's not only black, but he's white. He's not African American anymore than he's European American.
But in saying that, we know where his loyalty lies.
HO, what you are saying is true in theory, but not in reality. BO is not the first half-black half-white person in American history...so we have plenty of precedents to look to. As unfortunate as it is, the people in his position have long been labeled and treated as black...many times to their extreme detriment. It's just the way it has been in our culture.
