Your opening post on this thread was very insightful. Obviously you have indeed done a great deal of study of church history.

The new comes forth out of the old and dying as a remnant which God uses to advance his reveolatory truths, always reaching forth unto perfection until finally, the church among the last remnant is perfected in the image of Jesus ready to receive Him at his coming.

It is my earnest belief that if the early Apostolic church would not have given heed to Paul's "grievous wolves" who did not spare the flock, that church had a chance to advance on to the glory that God had in mind for His church. Alas, she fell accepting the TRINITY and many other heresies as well.

We have not arrived yet as much as well as we might think of ourselves. But, there will be a people that will go on as relay runners, remnant always ready to come out of the old and dying until the baton is handed off to the last generation of seekers that will cross the line of demarkation into perfection, the image and statute of Jesus Christ.
