Bro, if I were engaging in sinful activities to advance to public office, I’d be throwing out my Christian values. I’m straight. I don’t plan on marrying another man. I don’t plan on performing a gay marriage. Nobody’s compromising any Christian principles by taking a stand for a free country wherein many will no doubted choose to live non-Christian lives. When I was in the military I had to come to grips with what I was willing to fight for. A “Christian Nation”? No. A nation that is only free for those that I agree with? No. A FREE country where there is liberty and justice for ALL? Yes. And ALL means ALL.

Remember, it is just a short distance to gays being in power & making laws & don't think they will be so kind & merciful to Christians!

Christianity flourishes under persecution. It might be the best thing for us. But frankly, that’s like arguing that since they’ll persecute us, we should persecute them first. Bro, that’s not Christian either. We should stand for FREEDOM. And if they ever do turn to persecute us we will be remembered as lovers of freedom for all men… but if society sees us as religious extremists who want to use government to control non-Christian peoples and their lifestyles…they’ll just think that we’re getting what we deserve. What goes around comes around.
