Bro. Jeffers was originally ALJC, his mother founded the ALJC church on Martha's Vineyard in MA. He preached the message the first night I came to the church I have been a member of for 20 years in Norwich. That was in 89, so he was a young guy then.
His mother passed away not long after that, but not before converting a couple of nurses at the hospital.
Bro Jeffers has gained nation-wide aclaim in the movement, but his mother was something else. She was very much used of God here in New England. And, even though she was classifiably a "woman preacher", she had a wonderful humble spirit and founded and pastored a good church where no man wanted to go. Didn't know her for very long, but she was something else.

WOW! Martha's Vineyard, I'm surprised that there is an apostolic assembly there, that area is REALLY expensive. I am also surprised that Jeffers is from MA.
Anyways, I heard Jeffers preach at Winterfire '09 in CT, and I'll just say I'm a bit uneasy with this brother. I don't know him that well, but with the way he helped take up the offering at the conference, and with the whole spirit behind the altar call that he led and whatnot, my spirit was sort of troubled and I am somewhat doubtful of whether this man is a prophet. It surely would help if he would have prophesied some things and if they came to pass, then I could lean in the direction of him being a prophet. Also, if he wasn't so much apart of the "establishment" (UPC) then I could see him being a prophet, but I am obviously a bit biased against denominationalism. He also seems a bit proud, but I could have mistaken that for boldness... Anyways, that's my impression of him.
