I'm one of the crazies that actually supports Affirmative Action ESPECIALLY in the education system. And those who are furious when a white man misses out on a job opportunity when a company needs to meed a "quota"? If you miss out on an employment opportunity because you are white, we still have about 200 years of favoring the African-American community to even things up.
This subject seems to be close to you and in your family. I'd be interested in your ethnic heritage and your wife, but if you'd rather not share you can just ignore my inquiry.

The Affirmative Action thing can be a very bitter pill to ask anyone to swallow especially when they're trying to feed their family. And you're right about "today."
It's kind of odd - I see the most racism in the so called "Blue States" today. But to I find it hard to accept the idea that 2 wrongs are going to make a right. You'll just end up engendering more bitterness and simmering resentment. That's what leads to racism and hate.
