The term was coined by Theodore Roosevelt.

Name for the extreme radical members of a group, especially in politics: In this case the "Birthers and followers"

in the Republican Party as being on the lunatic fringe.

I wonder what Teddie would say if he were alive to see how far his party
has regressed?
