I also know that there is a certain element of this crazy talk that is motivated, at differnet levels, by racial motives. When you call the President a "racist in chief" that's a racial comment.
There are hundreds of reported incidents and threats against the President based on his race. We can't totally dismiss the racial undertones that some of the protestors are showing.

Sure, I agree. There are still race issues in this country, but if people really stop and think about it - it's the character, ideologies, issues, policies, etc. of a person that really riles us up. The bottom line is that the larger percentage is not even about color. I don't think people sit down long enough to think that through.
The "N" word, "white trash", Mexican terms I won't post, are not, totally, on a race, but directed toward the actions and character of the individual, JMO.
