When I was a child, my mother would discipline me for reading my bible too much. She wanted me to read it, but I was obsessed. I had read it through four times at the age of twelve. I would get a little flashlight and read it underneath the covers when everyone else was asleep.

We also had a huge bible story book called "Hurlbut's Stories of the Bible" (bought from a traveling salesman) that Mom would read to us every night.

I quizzed alot. At one point I had memorized the entire gospel of John.

My Mom and Dad put a love for the Word in me.
