Now that have that out of the way, yes, I say that if YOU believe that because you have spoken in tongues that YOU are filled with the Holy Spirit while those who have NOT spoken, are NOT filled with the Holy Spirit, then you are expressing spiritual superiority over another. What are we going to have next, someone who has the gift of faith showing up and saying they're looking for a "Faith-filled" church? "Hello, I'm Bob and I'm going to Robertville next week and I'm looking for a leadership-filled church ( Romans 12 mentions the gift of leadership). "Hey there, I'm filled with the Spirit because I have leadership and you don't."
Interestingly, I've never heard someone who has the gift of faith, or miracles, or discernment, kindness, or hospitality, claim that only those who have those gifts are filled with the Spirit. Why is it the tongue-talkers have elevated themselves above everyone else?
