FRINGE_NUTTER WANTS TO KNOW - What is a Con and a Lib?

After lurking here for several days, I decided to choose a nicname and make a few posts. I am serious about this thread. I would like to know what defines "conservative" or "liberal" in the minds of the people on this forum.

I am somewhat of a fringe_nutter now to some here and to others I would be considered very liberal. This is strictly an educational thread for me and maybe other newbies to the Apostolic realm.

Thanks in advance. In 20 sentences or less define a conservative. In 20 sentences or less define a liberal.

After the serious part with the 20 sentences or less, then you can make the facetious comments.

I am new to all of this Apostolic friends board and would like to make up my mind which way I want to go.

Simple, if you are a nut you must be a freaky-con.

A con starts with culture and then finds scripture to justify it

A lib believes that scriptures should be viewed in cultural context and that you should not read things into the bible that are not there... in a strange way, libs should actually be the conservatives since they are the ones who do not want God's word to be added to.

Hey there FN....

Don't mean you spoil your fun here or your serious/honest searching if that's what it is but I just have to ask ....... you're going to make a decision which way to go - lib or con - based on what you read on a discussion forum?!!

Better you study the Scripture for yourself and pray and rely on the conviction and leading of the Holy Ghost and listen to your pastor. This would be a much better method of guiding how you're going to live out your walk with God than depending on what people here tell you. You'll get so many different opinions and perspectives -- it will leave your head spinning.

Sis. Felicity, I would not make my mind up solely from reading the posts of this forum. None the less, there is a wide variety of preachers and church members who post here. I want to see who can show me the most love and give me the best direction based upon the Holy Word of God. I am leaning slightly toward one group right now, but my choice is my choice and will not be revealed on this forum.

My advice is to seek God and be a Disciple of Jesus Christ and live a Christ-centered lifestyle study the word ,and base your life on that.Pray and read the word regularly.

Well it's good & important to discover where one "fits" or rediscover where one fits.

I wish you the best in finding out what your personal niche is.

As far as not revealing your choice here .... well, like was said of Jesus of Nazareth ... your speech may betray you.
