Re: Things That Aren't In The Bible...
A man who studies his tradition in light of the Bible, who is humble enough to admit his traditions are wrong, and is willing to fall in line with the teachings of scripture, is a man who has been greatly blessed of the Lord.

Wow! What profound words! Oh, if only we each would but pause and allow them to soothe our weary soul.
Thus saith the LORD, "The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that ye build unto me? And where is the place of my rest? For all these things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the LORD: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word."
Isaiah 66:1-2
Thus saith the LORD, "Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches: but let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the LORD which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight," saith the LORD.
Jeremiah 9:23-24
I truly thank you immensely, my friend, for your insight which has caused me to remember these words of our God which bring such joy to my heart.

So very true. I pray I am getting there. I lived many years "knowing it all" and I am so happy I no longer live that way and I pray for the day that I look back at where I stand today and will say I am so happy I no longer live that way as well as God continues to be gracious enough to free me of myself.
Thanks for your wise words.
