I read the following... rolled my eyes... and quit reading.

Actually, as a share of the nation's economy, Uncle Sam's take this year will be the lowest since 1950, when the Korean War was just getting under way.

Yeah... If the people actually brought home the same percentage of the nation's economy that would be relevant. It isn't.

If the rest of the story is built on that thought... when I do read it... I will have wasted my time.

The article is misleading, making it sound like taxes are less, but not because lower tax rate but because less tax being collected from layoffs, ecoconmy ...
