You may actually have never heard this but Saddam Hussein accomplished creating more Muslim unity that any one else for hundreds of years. Today there is no unifyier.

I think coadie was observing some of the irony here, too. Saddam, at least in the eyes and ears of the Western media, did at least appear to "bring peace" to the warring tribes of Iraq. Of course, he needed U.S. permission to fly his helicopter gunships into the south of Iraq immediately after the first Gulf War and "bring peace" to the Shiites there.
