thinking out loud here... dont even know if this is legal...dont worry I am not advocating any harm to anyone/thing...

but, is it leagal for those in that community to simply step away from the WBC people?

refuse to do any business with them? if they have jobs in the community to fire them for their inflamitory comments?

I know if I were to say some of the things they have said, I would be fired here at my job... and rightfully so.

The government has not role to play here but there is pressure that ought to be brought to bare.

That is the problem these days. We rely on the government to do what we can accomplish on our own as "the people".

I stand offering correction if I am wrong on this...

But any private business should be able to hire or fire who they want to. (Of course we know that this is not the case in today's court system)

We would certainly be able to choose whether we do business with people & businesses that these people are associated with.

You make a good point Ferd. These people travel to different towns around the US to demonstrate. I would think the towns they stay in would refuse business to them .

Their faces aren't very reconizable, so they're probably able to get services.
What on earth do they do for a living to be able to afford travel?
I can't imagine anyone who lived near by would hire any of them or use their services...whatever those might be?

Haven't heard who the one justice was that disagreed? But, when 8 agree that really sends a message.

I also believe they have made a small fortune just sueing people.

dirty low down sorts. and they use God to beat people over the head.

I would not want to be anywhere near these people. God isnt fond of those who do wrong in his name.

I dealt with a son-in-law that is a lawyer
I have a client in NYC and they had a problem with him.

Phelps ran for gov of Kansas. He is a devoted Democrat. He campaigned very hard for Algore his best bud. Ya think he helped or hindered alGore?

While awaiting your reply I will say this. It seems to me that a man who owns his own business should feel free to fire someone if he finds their behavior distasteful or that it shines a bad light on his business.
