I remember Nona Freeman talking about walking into a church and this tremendous feeling! She asked the Lord what it was. He responded, "This is perfect unity."

She could only say that she had experienced that "once" in her life time? I want to examine myself to find out what I could be doing or not doing to bring about unity. It takes each individual - one by one.
Yes, that is the point I think. And then they can be lovingly restored. Maybe not to leadership, but still a part of the body. And that should be for all, not just preachers or pastors.

I was thinking of Kirk Franklin and his struggle with pornography. It was very beautiful that he totally trusted his wife enough to confess to her so that she could stand beside him and help him. He is still standing, right? I'm always afraid to ask! LOL!

Yes, and his pastor counseled him, too. For a long period of time I think.
I am not sure if he is or not, but he was very public with it, so I am sure he has safeguards in place, and accountability.

I believe he's still doing good. A station I listen to interviewed him a couple months ago and he spoke of it and thanked God and his wife for being his strength while overcoming his addiction.

Apostolic is defined on AFF as:

  1. There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
  2. The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
  3. Every sinner must repent of their sins.
  4. That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
  5. That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
  6. The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

Yes, Prax, I agree. Her sticking with him pretty much trumps his trusting her to help him.
