It's really bothersome when someone can't oppose, disagree, or even be curious without being labeled full of hate.
As Christians, we should be aware that is a very serious charge and be able to know for 100% fact that is the case. Otherwise, we've bared false witness.
I supported McCain/Palin, I've heard people say things about Palin that make this whole BC thing pale in comparison, yet I won't charged them with "hate", unless they say so.

Sandie,
If it we were still about 3 weeks or maybe even 3 months in to the discussion, then your response holds weight.
Trump pulled this out a full 3 years after it has been generally accepted by most rational people that the President is a natural-born citizen, based off of the certified true copy of his birth certifiicate that he made available over 3 years ago.
This is why the label of hate comes out.
Trump's use of this is dirty politics at its worst, appealing to the folks on our side who aren't in the least bit rational.

As Christians, the argument of accusing others of hate wihtout full proof, instead of conjecture, still holds weight.
Are you just accusing Trump of hating the president? I was not just referring to Trump, it seems the charge is being laid at the feet of anyone who questions anything about this president.

I used the word "foment" in one of my earlier posts on this thread.
Trump's obsession with this dead horse foments irrational hate and groundless suspicion.
Trump has plainly stated that he does not hate the President.
He has also plainly stated that he thinks that President Obama is taking America in the wrong direction.
If he does not like the direction Obama is taking our country, then he should run.
His appeal to the birther conspiracy adds a bit of legitimacy to a stupid rumor that attempts to deligitimize President Obama. Someone of his stature should not lend any legitimacy at all to this hateful rumor.
Trump's appeal to the birther conspiracy takes away from his legitmacy as a Presidential candidate.

Re: Donald Trump Calls for Obama Birth Certificate
Furthermore,
There are PLENTY of people (Republicans, Democrats, non-politicos) who question the politics and decisions of our President who choose to not to resort to the birther junk.
Christians, Trumps and anyone else who care to engage in a thoughtful discourse about the President should do so, without refering to LIES that some in their HATE for this President tend to gravitate towards.

Hi Jermyn,
Sadly it seems you've made up your mind that this issue stems out of hatred.
Nobody can change your mind on that I suppose. However, I hope you understand how it can be very offensive to those who are accused of this most serious charge.

That is how liberals try to win arguments when thay have no facts to win with. They accuse of 3-4 things. 1 Lying, Hatred (foment), 3 racism 4 Birtherism.

You know I am more than sick and tired of the "hate" thrown out every time someone disagrees with you. (you not being just Jermery)
ENOUGH ALREADY!
There are a LOT of people that do not buy into his legit status as an American citizen. There is more that says he is not than says he is. IMO
That does NOT mean I hate Obama. I don't trust the man at all!!!!

Sandie,
I don't throw out " hate" every time someone disagrees with me.
YOU ARE MISTAKEN!
What you and others who decide to keep this lunacy going don't seem to understand is how bringing this up over and over again-- over 3 whole years now-- that this is offensive. Why do some persist in their effort to DELEGITMIZE our President?
There are some that go as far as to make statements like, "... he's YOUR President, but he ain't mine!" But I guess you have never heard similar statements and sentiments expressed.
So yes, whenever I hear someone talking about the birther thing, being the rational man that I am, the ONLY reason I can come up with is that their motivation is out of hate for the man.
If you want to think that I call, "HATE" whenever someone disagrees with me, it's your right to be deceived.
NO OTHER PRESIDENT has gone through such groundless suspicion over his citizenship-- not 3 years of it! NO ONE!
Yet you want to deny that there is an element of hate involved in all of this.
Most of the time, hate is irrational.
The birther conspiracy is irrational.
You are deceived-- doesn't mean you are hateful. The people that keep bringing this issue up, the ones who dwell on it, they're the one fomenting the hate and groundless suspicions for the man as they seek to delegitimize not just his Presidency, but his very identity as an American!
But you don't know why this is offensive....
Whatever.

I didn't say you throw out the word "hate" when someone disagrees with YOU, this is in reference to those who disagree with the President. Please don't take it personal.

First of all, I'm not "deciding" to keep this going, I merely commented a couple of times and if you read what I actually said you might have a different view.
For one thing, for all I really care about this issue, he could have been born IN the White House because I'm not going to ever vote for him.

I've never said anything like that. However, I sure heard that alot about President Bush, did you defend President Bush with such "colorful" wording?

Pardon me, but that doesn't sound like a rational conclusion, especially coming from a Christian. We're not to accuse others of motivations we can't possibly know. Are you able to look into the heart of man? God calls that bearing false witness.

I never said you were calling "hate" whenever someone disagrees with YOU...but, guess it's your right to be insulting when you wrongly precieve that's what I did.

I'm only denying I can't look into the heart of each individual. I can only go by what the Word of God says. We're to love and not hate, so if I give the benefit of believing other Christians aren't motivated by hate, I believe that to be what God would have me do.

You seem to be overly emotional about this issue. I wonder why you addressed this to me while quoting Esther?
I'm curious, did you get this emotional when people were burning President Bush in effigy?
When this rises to the level that President Bush had to endure, we'll talk.
