Bright colors are happy colors! So are floral patterns and light, airy fabrics. I love to put on pretty things made of pretty fabrics that feel good to my skin.

I get so annoyed at over-analysis of stuff like this, because it usually isn't a very complicated process. When I see a pretty dress or blouse, I DON'T [ever??!!] think, "Wow, I can catch a bunch of guys' attention in THAT!" I usually think, "Wow, that's beautiful", and then I touch it to see how it feels, and I think something like, "That has a nice, quality weight to it", or "Nah, that's too scratchy."

It's not nearly so underhanded as men imagine. Of course, male narcissists everywhere tend to think that every choice a woman makes is made with them in mind. If they only knew....

Seriously!

Men think we think about them a whole lot more than we do.

For the record, I'm not against the colorful clothes, just ask my wife and daughter. Just making a point about adornment in general, some condemn jewely as adornment but so can clothes, mentioned in same scripture.

Would you care to explain how wearing colors are adornment? The scripture says costly array, not colored array, doesn't it?

1 Peter 3:3 says a woman's adorning is not supposed to be outward--like arranging her hair, putting on jewelry or wearing apparel/clothing.

exactly. How can one say no to adorning jewelry but yes to adorning clothes?

Again how are colors adornment? adorning in that verse is gold, pearls, or costly array

Why do people wear colorful outfits? To adorn themselves. You can't see that?
