Prax, he never ran against the war in Afghanistan. On the contrary he ran on a platform that was very clear that that was the very necessary but neglected war that was crucial. Running against a continued, basically unwinnable war in Iraq that was costing too much in every way is not an anti-war campaign. Maybe an anti-Iraq-war-as-it-was-being-handled campaign, but not anti-war in the general sense and certainly not anti-war in connection to the war on terror (which is the relevant war for this conversation). He ran and governed in a manner that was designed to increase our efforts in this such war.

Been, you really should go back and watch the videos. He was very clear that we needed to concentrate on the battle in Afghanistan that was largely being neglected because that is where the real threat against Americans were coming from. He immediately began increasing operations there. I don't understand what's so hard to understand about that. I'm not telling you to vote for him, but let's at least not revise history.

I'll go back and take some looks and consider what you're saying. But, will you admit the problem he and the administration had in using the word terrorist? It was not something that I came up with, but I listened as others talked about the issue of the term terrorist!

You almost had me convinced that I may be remembering wrong , but I just went back and watched a few videos where he was saying just what I am saying...and he did use the word "terrorist" (gasp)

If Obama single handed wins the war on terror. If he, in person ferrets out every terrorist on planet earth and eliminates all threats foreign and domestic, it will never erase the war he and his party wage against the unborn, nearly born and acutally, but accidently born.

Recent or earlier? He did use the word sparingly in recent days, but for a long time he acted like it was an ugly word in Sunday School. I'll have to go back and find the occasions when he was taken to task for this. Oh, but who cares? You don't and I don't have the time to do it now. May do it later. I'm going to bed. Have a good night and a better day tomorrow.

Terrorism is just such a dirty word, it makes those who commit man-caused disasters seem like such bad people.

Been, you're a smart guy. All I can suggest is that you watch the numerous youtube videos that exist of his campaign speeches, debates, and town hall meetings for yourself. There is no need to rely on what his political opponents and self-proclaimed critics say he says. This is the information age and there is too much direct footage that you can see for yourself.
