Excellent question.
Short answer...No.
Long Answer...you may be in danger (and by "you" I mean the one who fights against tithing - not the one who simply questions tithing). That's not to say that "The Flames" are licking at your feet, but it may be revealing something deeper down that needs to be dealt. If you don't tithe because of a conflict with the way tithing is taught or you disagree with how the money is used or who receives it, then there is a schism that must be bridged. If you don't tithe because you're not able to bear that part of the relationship with God, then you need to grow spiritually. If you don't tithe because you're absolutely against it, then diligently seek wisdom from God as what to do. Sometimes the opinion of others sway us against biblical principles. As Paul told the Romans in Romans 14:5b, Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.

Atlanta Bishop,
According to the book of Leviticus, tithing was instituted off the seed of the land and flock.
How has tithing transitioned from the seed of the land and flock to modern day money?

If you were to ask them what the Father's sole desire is for their soul... they'd not be able to tell you.
I can see honoring God by one's giving. But we are no longer under law.

Some don't even realize firstfruits is not a tenth. Jesus is the fristfruit but does that mean only 9 others are going to be raised?

I believe that's too subjective. I believe that the objective truth with regards to practice for the NT believer is as follows:
2 Corinthians 9:6-8 (ESV)
6The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. 7Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 8And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work. Offerings should be done as one has decided within their heart, accordingly, as God leads them. And yes, blessing can be expected in relation to sowing. And it's not based on a percentage, but the degree of sacrifice. A man who makes six figures and has budgeted his tithe along with other bills and is living high on the hog isn't sacrificing. But some families are sacrificing, making things considerably tight if they only give $50 a pay period, even if it doesn't add up to 10%. They will receive the greater blessing from God.
The tithe was nailed to the cross with all other OT laws. We are now free in Christ.
My church doesn't teach manditory tithing. We have over 2,000 members, over 100 house churches, a massive campus, a paid staff, and we fund all sorts of missions and charitible programs. Most simply give as they feel led prompted by the Holy Spirit.

Let's keep in mind he said 'they that love me keep my commandments" not keep my principles.

As with the other thread, I will be recommending the Admin start passing out bans for misbehavior if you all can't just discuss the merits of the topic not personal comments.
