Re: The "dress code" is essential...
yes, i have trust issues. my future wife has to wear a Gorilla outfit. That is so other men do not see how good looking she is. I do not share.
Seriously, yes i do have something serious to say after the joke. It is not the outside that counts but the light that shines inside of you. Common sense says to dress wisely. because that light needs to shine and not be blocked by your outside appearnce. wisdom dictates that your testamony counts and not your appearance.God used a donkey once to deliever the message. Wisdom from a talking donkey. i really do not have a dress code for people as long as they cover it all up I do not care.

Re: The "dress code" is essential...
I listen as some of the Ultra-Cons say they do thus and thus just to make sure, don't want to take any chances! They don't want to take a chance of not doing enough, of not being right.
If I was a woman and felt that way, then I think I would dress like the Muslim ladies, with head covered, white garment to the ground, arms fully covered... no body showing except the hands and the face .... just to make sure! You have to admit there is no way to be more "outwardly holy", (if that's outward holiness) than the Muslim women.
Much of what many Pentecostals believe is the results of what they have heard from childhood to adulthood. And someone said it right... we were condemned to hell if we questioned anything. We were being rebellious and would surely split hell wide open if we did not blindly follow what came across the pulpit. We were not allowed to work out anything!

Well, "Obey them" IS a catch-all loophole which allows unlimited adding and taking away from the Word.
