The ones that come from the MEN'S SIDE of the store are. When I was conservative Pentecostal I'd sometimes wear a flannel shirt with a jean skirt. But my flannel shirt would come from the WOMEN'S SIDE of the store.
But since, according to you, stores don't know the difference, maybe that flannel top was a man's.
