Re: Loudness In Churches.

My intent is here not to be judgemental or critical however we might find that we all may have religious traditions that are just that and are not founded on scripture.

It's easy to look at the church world and point fingers at them and look at their traditions but it's quite another to look at our own.

Yes sir... that is the point though.

The way a person worships is tradition and it is who they are. If the platform is too loud then the only way that is going to change is sit them all down and put people up there with a similar upbringing and who have developed similar traditions to those who can't bear it.

What is being asked is this... Hey... you... on the platform. I need you to be like me. I need you to like what I like and do like I would do. I know this isn't who you are but I need you to give a praise from who I am.

It is tradition... on all sides.

It's not biblically based... on either side.

Re: Loudness In Churches.

When it comes to people becoming uncomfortable, I think the sound system should be turned down! I've seen it many times when people, especially older ones, have to cover their ears...because the loud noise actually causes pain.

I really think we have raised up a bunch of people who DO think that noise equals anointing! You take the mic away from them and they wouldn't know what to do...

I love feeling the presence of the Lord, but it doesn't always have to be noisy. Most of the time it's that 'still small voice'....

I agree and in certain size buildings and such I understand a certain level of volume is needed.

LOL... I don't doubt it Brother Epley. One night the pastor of the church we were attending put a big cymbal out and gave people the opportunity to come up and give it a good beating. The pastors wife got up there and she went crazy on that thing.

The Lord spoke to me as clear as day so I went up there to her and told her that she had just brought her son home. (He had moved to Colorado at the time). She received the word and rejoiced.

When they got home from that service their son was in the driveway waiting on them.

I'll never forget that service.
