People around us will know just who we are, who we represent, and what we stand for simply by them observing and listening to us.
There's no sense in spiritual cramming or spamming. And, there's no sense in feeling like we have to conquer the world through worrying about how to be a witness. Following after the Spirit would allow God to put the words into our mouth on what to say to those we cross paths with...
(Jfrog, I'm not implying you are worrying about conquering the world. Just speaking in general terms to no one specifically.)

Today I did a job at/in someones home. They were renters in their mid 20's. I met them at the home, and we walked toward the house, and as we did I smelled mary j wana on them. There was 2 men, one woman, and one child around the age of my 5 yr old daughter. One man was married to the woman, and was the father I beleive of the little girl.
As I did my job, the men went upstairs, and shortly there after, I began to smell pot fill the air once again. The mother went upstairs a few times, while the girl was downstairs in the kitchen while I was working. This about ripped my guts out.
I didnt know what to do. Could I do anything besides pray?
Just "living it" isnt good enough for me, in situations such as this. I want to do more. I suppose maybe all I can do is pray for wisdom of how to shine a light in these situations.
I talked to a friend and he said "invite them to church". I dunno.... Im in there less than an hour sometimes. Its hard to connect in a short time like that. Part of me wants to return and try to say something. The mother didnt even look like my picture of a pothead at all! And she was very nice.
As I left, the young girl was downstairs walking around brushing her teeth. I gave her a handout coloring book, where I had went outside to my vehicle to get it, and signed the back "Jesus loves you" John 3:16. Its all I could think of to do at the moment. I gave it to her and left. She was very thankful, and I watched her show it to her mother thru the window as I was walking away. (Her mother had heard the door shut, and came back downstairs)
I have to do more. I can not pass by these opertunitities to introduce our Saviour. I wish I knew what to do.

I think the numbers of pot smokers are huge - and quite often do not fit our preconceived notions about them. Many professionals smoke the stuff.
I don't think they are different than other people, though I can understand this pulling at your heartstrings - with the girl being present while they were breaking the law.

What sticks in my mind, is that she likely lives in a daily environment of inhaling the stuff. .... not quite so much the law breaking as (no doubt)the constant inhalation of the stuff in her lungs... at that age...
amongst who knows what all else...

Yep. I feel similarly about keggers, chain smokers, pornography pervs, and families that promote obesity...
I think the illegal aspect raises the bar though, because they are risking losing their own daughter and being jailed.
