Actually, there are many words that end with what would be vowels in English. In Hawaiin (misspelled), if memory serves, all of the words in in vowels. Having taken some Spanish, I can tell you that many of their words also end in vowels. It is actually more likely an issue of percepetion rather than reality.

Further, who really cares.
