They gave her a couple of days off for the funeral and to visit then was expected back to class bright and early. They didn't even acknowledge that there MAY be SOME emotional issues to deal with because she had PRAYED, which meant God provided all the comfort she needed. Then to make matters worse one of the admin staff openly wondered about what sin may be in her mother life to have this happen (with Gail and other faculty present in the deans office). Gail shouted "Go to hell!" and walked out. Of course they suspended her for such gross insubordination to "Gods anointed" which hardly mattered because she had literally walked out of the office AND the school permanently.
Yikes, and these are the people training your pastor, lol. Gl with that.

While this didn't happen that long ago, it is still 15 years or so and a number of these people have either retired or died off. Granted they did their damage while holding the reins of power, but their poison tongues are no longer talking trash. At least not to the same degree they were.

I am sorry that she was burned in such a way. There was no call for them to speculate in such a cruel manner. I have found it best to say nothing, offer my condolences, and listen to the person rather than speculate as what caused the death to occur. Too often the poor survivors are already engaged in that useless endeavor and are not interested in others saying openly what is on their mind privately.

The words of Job are often the best for this situation, "The Lord giveth, and the Lord taketh away. Blessed be the name of the Lord."

Bible colleges have some benefits, however they are not always filled with the most spiritual people on earth (some of them are not even Christian).

Oh, ya, I was being snide, there is surely more good than bad in them. You are supposed to take whatever someone says with a grain of salt. Hindsight is 20/20, but I'd have sure been asking that Admin if that would have been their answer to Paul's infirmity; and then, when I got a blank look, I'm sure I would not have been kind in that place.

I'm also pretty sure I'd have gotten a refund, lol.
