Re: Ever Walked Out of a Church Service???
Okay, here's my two cents!
First, we don't "own" threads, so this thread is an open discussion.
Second, many of us have been posting together for 6-10 years and many of us have met each other, so we are more familiar with each other.
Third, if we have the joy of the Lord in our hearts, we can be fun and funny even if a topic is not funny.
Apparently, you are a much more serious person than many of us here - not a bad thing, but maybe us being less serious isn't a bad thing either.
I don't think PO's humor has gotten in the way of this discussion at all!

Re: Ever Walked Out of a Church Service???
Ok, I only read pages 1, 6, 7.
I would only walk out of any meeting, if I felt that it had become so inappropriate as to be egregious.
Or, I had become so furious that I felt as though I was about to conduct myself in an inappropriate manner.

It is acting out. Petulent children act out.
If my friend acted in such a manner, my first response would be to reconsider the relationship.
Do I want to be associated with someone who acts in such an ungodly manner... in the Name of God?

This.

And to the person who asked why he was invited? The pastor of this church is his uncle..... yep, his uncle!!!!!!!

Spiritual incest, read the book of Hoesa to find God's rebuke for such nonsense. "Dry breast and miscarrying wombs..." are their fate, completely unable to spiritually give life or nuture those in their care.

Would it be ok to walk out if the F-word was used?

Exactly, the uncle is more a fault, and a glutton for punishment!
