NO, not at all, simply stating a fact, the UPC did not have strong leadership or requirements of education or knowledge for its up and coming young ministers. Simple fact, leadership training, theological training of much depth was non-existant in the UPC, and there was not enough Holy Spirit present to lead us into ALL truth. Excitement and spiritual enthusiasm will sustain a young Christian, but it is not enough, we must go on to maturity. This process is many times generational. Young men like Mark got out beyond their ability by their charisma, and then they faltered, lost faith, fell into sin and shipwrecked. God is still calling, one day he will hear again.
