I was raised Catholic. I have mostly good memories of the RCC.

Well, it's been fun and good to see everyone.

Last night, after posting on this thread, writing what I did and defending myself, I am very sore in my shoulders and neck and back. That is what usually happens. Not to mention a lot of time spent here.

So.....I'm signing off again for a while.

Oh, I should share though before I go that I start nursing school in the fall. I am excited and scared to death.

I think it is, generally, depressing bringing up the past.

I am not bashing. I feel for you, I really do. What you went through is one of the reasons I ran from ministry a while back - good ol' boys. It's a reason my wife didn't want to be involved in any kind of pulpit ministry (or married to one). I had accepted soon after called and then after about five years and eight years I saw some things that made me hesitate and halted my spiritual progress. I spiraled into one of the darkest periods of my life, including a long depression and illness (before I met my wife). I died inside, it felt, but while at Louisiana Camp I holed myself in the prayer room and died to self and my fear of people. I went home with victory over depression, and to say I was a new person is understating it.

I'm really sorry about what you went through. All I can say is we will all appear before the judgement seat of Christ. Even if the individuals approached you and asked forgiveness, they will still have to look into the eyes of Christ and explain. Pray for them. other saints may need rescue from them one day.

Thank you for your nice post. I do pray for them and those who have to be around and under them. I can feel the empathy in your post as someone who has been there.
