Re: Supreme Court ObamaCare Ruling

It's just amazing what people are actually NOT seeing.

Romney's Transition Leader Favors Implementing Obamacare

What's most concerning about all of this is not that Romney selected one of the few Republicans in the country who backs implementation of Obamacare's exchanges. It's what the selection of Leavitt means as an indication of how Romney would potentially "fix" Obamacare if repeal proves impossible. According to Politico, "already, plugged-in Republicans from Washington to Salt Lake City are buzzing that Leavitt could make his own transition next January into the job of White House chief of staff or as a Valerie Jarrett-like personal counselor to a President Romney."

Should the Supreme Court strike down only a portion of Obamacare, it seems clear Leavitt would be a major voice in deciding how to replace it. And he is convinced that "exchanges are part of the future, no matter what."

It's either the greatest lie or the greatest coverup. The way I look at it is, they could find Saddam Hussein in a squirrel hole, but they don't know who Barrack O is. I find that hard to believe.

Most of the Congressional Republicans back him up as being an American. So, if he is not, that's what the country gets for electing all the representatives we have in office and who were are pushing to elect in November.

I vote for neither candidate.

Romney needs to lay out a decisive plan on what he plans to do about the Healthcare issue instead of giving political speech. Saying we are going to repeal without a plan is not going to work. He sounds like

.

If it were true, the WHOLE government - both Dems and Repubs - would be behind our demise as a country.

I've followed Sheriff Arpaio on the story because he is a no-nonsense kind of guy. They say we will have a surprise in October. We shall see.

Re: Supreme Court ObamaCare Ruling

ObamaCare Lost on the Medicaid Mandate & Commerce Power. It May Yet Lose on the Tax Power.

Assume, however, the Supreme Court ultimately disagrees and finds that the penalty for not purchasing health insurance is indeed a tax. Nevertheless, say opponents of PPACA, the tax would be unconstitutional. They underscore that taxes are of three types—income, excise, or direct. Each type must meet specified constitutional constraints. Because the mandate penalty under PPACA does not satisfy any of the constraints, it is not a valid tax.

Income taxes, authorized by the Sixteenth Amendment, must (by definition) be triggered by income. Yet the mandate penalty is triggered by the nonpurchase of insurance.

But it seems to me there may be room here for the same individual citizens who brought this case to again file suit against the federal government for trying to impose an unconstitutional tax. It may seem unlikely that Roberts would reverse himself on the Tax Power issue. Then again, since he never specified what type of constitutionally permissible tax the mandate is, perhaps voting to strike the mandate would not be reversing himself.

As much as I despise Obama I don't really doubt that he is an American. I have a hard time believing that if he was not Hillary's op research team in 2008 would have dug that up in the primaries and then McCain's in the General.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."
