Significantly, his campaign appears to want to take the most potent argument against the president on the health care subject off the table, likely out of fear the Romney himself is vulnerable when it comes to his health care record. He, after all, supported a mandate as governor of Massachusetts, and doesn't want that to be considered a tax, either.

Romney’s resistance to calling the individual mandate a tax reflects an awkward history that has dogged his presidential campaign: Although he decries the federal health-care law and vows to lead an effort to repeal it if he is elected, Romney championed and signed very similar legislation when he was governor of Massachusetts.

I think the fear of Obama has caused some to overlook the fact that a Rhino/Progressive is not our answer. It's like two trains headed toward a certain destination. One is faster than the other, but they both will arrive at the same destination.

I happened to be reading Callista Gingrich's children's book, Sweet Land of Liberty, ironic to read this during our discussion here:

As the years went on, more and more settlers came.
They formed thirteen colonies, none quite the same.
But on one sure thing they would all agree:
The King would not rule them - they would be free.

But the King didn't listen, and passed a tax on tea.
The colonists said, "We won't pay a fee!"
They jumped on the ships and caused a real commotion.
Then they threw the English tea right into the ocean.


Neither candidate is our answer for a free country. I believe we might find ourselves in another revolt.

some of the “cease-fire” speculation focuses on romney adviser eric fehrnstrom’s statement monday that romney “disagrees with the court’s ruling that the mandate was a tax.” democrats and some of their allies in the press have jumped on those words, suggesting they indicate romney agrees with president obama on the question. But the romney campaign has said clearly that romney sides with the court’s conservative dissenters and believes obamacare is unconstitutional. How that puts him in agreement with the president is hard to fathom. Nor does it suggest that romney will back off his promise to get rid of obamacare.

Well...If Romney gets voted in, then those who vote him in will see that the country will continue down the steep road to hades under Romney's watch. He will continue Obama policies like his predecessors continued the legacy of each progressive president.
