You want to minister on the platform, scrape your face, that's all we ask .
But...what is the purpose of this? There is no biblical reasoning detain a man from the platform at the whim of a pastor.

The same biblical purpose that you would use for a preacher with a Mohawk I'm sure

Even if what you charge with this statement is true, what would be wrong for a man to have a Mohawk? Is the Mohawk itself sinful?

This made me picture myself with a mohawk. Funny mental image. You'd have to see it though, I guess...any prophets with mind reading powers here?

No it's not and neither is a beard that is the point. But In general a Mohawk identifies you with the world not the church and the church is just trying its best to be seperate from the world.

Ok. If the church is going to separate, then why just separate partially like they do? The only religion I know that truly separates themselves from the world are the Amish. No mortgages. No utility bills. No water bills. No insurance requirements. No medical mandates until 2014. No investing monies into the stocks and bonds. And all live commonly with all their homes the same structure as their neighbor.

Let the church live like them for a true separation.

So you see, it is not a true separation, but just a set of club rules that all must abide by.

If that's your conviction I won't throw stones at you...

If I lived like the Amish, I would never be able to fulfill my calling of taking this glorious Gospel to the entire world. Notice that they are not exactly the most talkative bunch .
