AreYouReady, I do have a problem with her now and then. Got this in an email from her the other day.........

An elderly lady was invited to an old friend's home for dinner one evening.
She was impressed by the way her lady friend preceded every request to her husband with endearing terms such as:
Honey, My Love, Darling, Sweetheart, etc.

The couple had been married almost 70 years and, clearly, they were still very much in love.

While the husband was in the living room, her lady friend leaned over to her hostess to say, “I think it's wonderful that, after all these years, you still call your husband all those loving names.”

The elderly lady hung her head, “I have to tell you the truth,” she said. “His name slipped my mind about 10 years ago, and I'm scared to death to ask the cranky old guy what his name is.”

What'a you think?

AYR, and BT.... thanks for your kind words... I don't deserve them... my husband does. I was completely "green" when we married, and he took the time to communicate to me, and help me understand the birds and the bees... and when he did, I realized why my brothers, and every other man I know acts the way they do.

So I want to give a shout out to him for being humble and honest enough to share these things with me, and I hope that having an understanding of the "way a man works" will help others, as it has helped me in our marriage.

I do believe open communication and honesty between a husband and wife about personal struggles is completely necessary in order to keep fighting the mental battles each one struggles with, along with faith in an Almighty God ... those two strategies together will make the difference in overcoming the flesh, and its temptations.

Its my pleasure! I have another recommendation "I surrender all" by Clay Crosse. He and his wife talk about his/her struggle. It is a life application. It was an easy read and I saw how good God is to His children.

I think that perhaps she's always called him sweet names which is the reason why she completely forgot his real name.
