The list is too long and if you don't know the difference then you wouldn't understand. Again nothing negative about him nor the church these are just the facts.

See, this is the problem......the list is too long, and it can't be explained, either you know it or you don't.....reminds me of how the Pharisees took 10 commandments, and turned them into thousands of man made requirements designed to control the sheep and keep them in line.
Most of them, ironically, totally non-Biblical, but sacred to the masses, just the same.

I am not criticising them as it has been done here I am just correcting the absurd notion that this was a conservative church.

Elder would your church be considered conservative?

I'm just talking about the "list" of standards that ultra conservatives have generated.....most of which are just goofier than a three dollar bill.
Like a UPC preacher told me one time "It's not the written rules that get you, but the unwritten ones!"

You gotta understand, when Epley says conservative, in his mind it means one who follows ALL the whack job rules and regs that have been conceived in the minds of men who quite mistakenly think they have the mind of God.
When your mind is given over to this delusion, you become unable to reason, unable to see the core doctrines of the bible.
Sadly, many who have carried this brand of "ultra legalistic conservitiveitus"
may well be as lost as two boys kissing.
