Me too!!!! Loved to take about 4 marbles to school, and then come home with a dozen or so........because we played for "keeps"!

Did you play Jacks? I loved those! "Around the world", "Pigs in the Pen", and lots of other special trick plays.

I also loved to play Marbles. On my dad's side of the family I had a whole bunch of cousins who were my age (there are 69 of us grandkids). I was the only girl in that age bracket tho. So I got to play with my boy cousins and we played lots of Marbles. And they were terrible at it. LOL!! I had one cousin who was 6 months older than me. Often when I would beat him and get to take his "special" marble (whatever it happened to be that day) he would cry. Then I would laugh and tell him that if it bothered him that much, he should work harder and try to win his marble back from me. So then he would try to beat me up. But because he was a tiny little runt - well, again he would end up crying. And then I would get in trouble for beating up on Glenny. LOL!!
Yes, we loved Jacks as well. I don't remember playing with them at school as much as we did at home.

Love your marble story. lol!

I remember playing this!

I always thought Poindexter was a silly name to give the nerd and you didn't want to get him. By today's standards, he was probably the best one to get!
