I say what you say... without all the qualifiers,
I can't speak for the sword that is flaming but for me I DO care if someone is gay because unlike the beard and other man made "standards" he referred to in his post homosexuality is something explicitly prohibited in the bible. So we should love gay people but not say we "don't care" if one is gay. We do. We want them to not engage in this sin.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

I was speaking more to the exclusionary nature of the post. In this case I will say... my bad, because he alludes purely to Pentecostals, not humanity as a whole.

Flaming's definition of brother/sister only extends to members of this particular creed, mine goes somewhat beyond it to encompass... well everyone.

Amen. I was going to say that the orig post started with a really big word; If...

While the past couple of years of study have caused me to see more doctrine of Original Sin at work there, a plainer way to put it might be that Christ ate dinner with lepers; a death sentence in that age. While I understand the If, I can't empathize, only sympathize, wadr.

Universal reconcilliation? (if so you guys save a ton of money since you don't need to send missionaries to spread the gospel!)
