This is the kicker ... here is the purpose of the ban on TV ....

Furthermore, because of the display of all these evils on television, we disapprove of any of our people having television sets in their homes.

Are these evils not displayed on the internet???? There isn't a ban because of a tuner ... or a receiver that receives television frequencies ...

the purpose of the ban is because that it displays THESE EVILS ... yet the logic doesn't apply to a tv type program transmitted on a DVD player or a computer...????

and yet ... ministers can send their young people to SIX FLAGS ... and this is not a blatant violation????

It would be I guess if it was transmitted there. I have NEVER watched a dvd or a television program over my computer. I guess I could figure out how but I have no desire.

On an amusement parks it would have to be defined whether is classed as that mentioned.

Yet ministers are mandated to sign a document and affirm a clause that is vague and inconsistent.

Why do you think it is the /ministry's/ right/responsibility to define it? I think that the scripture teaches born again believers to "work out their own salvation with fear and trembling".

Paul calls saints to grow to maturity and what may be a weight or hinderance to one may not be so to another. To give all the control to the /ministry/ takes away the control of God on individual's lives, and also interferes with the Biblical hierarchy for the home...which is the husband's mandated responsibility.
