It is ridiculous to assume parents cannot teach their children how to live righteously just because they have a TV. Our children have to grow up and live in this wicked world, how much better to teach them to separate the precious from the vile. It is called spiritual maturity, I will not defend the garbage on TV anymore than I will defend the garbage on our streets and in our schools and in our malls....but I do take exception the idea that we can keep our children from evil by separation from what is so prevalent in our culture. If they get it in their hearts the TV will be very limited, and I testify of that fact in my family, my children are grown but I can see that TV is very limited still in their lives. You may say, "why have it if it is that limited?" It is very simple there is more good programming on today than ever before, more than any of us has time to view, so why not when you have a little time broaden your knowledge? I thought the HG helps us to live godly
in this present evil world, well I believe it does, so just because you don't think someone can use TV righteously does not mean it is not being done.
