I would open the question up to everyone, not just your detractors! Hey, everyone: is Epley afraid to answer my questions (see above), or do you believe him, that it's a "check" in his spirit that stops him?
He's unwilling to even answer this poll question, even though I gave him a choice that is just what he said in another thread. (It's the second one, BTW.)
And for the record, I could not care less what he thinks my Grandma is doing right now. I have no fear whatsoever that she is in hell or bound for the lake of fire or any such. She is absent from the body and present with the Lord, along with lots of other trinnies!
(This is the first time in a long time that I even mentioned Grandma, BTW. I said we could stop talking about her, since it made him uncomfortable. He keeps mentioning her, though. Weird.)

I have NOT said on this forum or in person that 'so and so' is going to Hell. Not me.

Look, as I've said before, I love truth. Both spiritual truth and factual, day-to-day truth. You folks think you have it (in the spiritual sense) and yet some of you seem to have trouble with it (in the factual sense). If I'm wrong, tell me. When shown his quote that Bishop Patterson died lost, the elder explained that that didn't mean he necessarily went to hell. When shown his quote that he said Michlow would go to hell if she didn't have a preacher in her life, he had a convenient "check" in his spirit that prevents him. Interesting.

If you're asking me specifically; I really have no comment on the matter of whether or not SE said "so & so" is going to hell. Truth is, he doesn't know who will or will not go to hell, so his opinion is just that -- an opinion... a guess.

But he made a factual (whether true or not) statement. That was a quote of the elder's own words. It was not an opinion. He stated that he has never said so-and-so was going to hell. Previously, he made a factual (whether true or not) statement that Michlow would go to hell without a preacher in her life. He didn't qualify it as an opinion, and if you read the context, he most definitely believes that's what the Bible teaches. He also stated that Bishop Patterson died lost.
Seriously, am I the only one here that sees a contradiction in these statements? Am I the only one that's suspicious of the "check"?

Assuming your statements are true, yes, there's a contradiction. No, I'm not suspicious of SE comments about the "check" in his spirit. And I still think that SE's opinion on who will/will not make it to heaven is a guess.
Why are you so concerned with SE's opinion on heaven/hell?

I'm not. I really don't care about his opinions on heaven/hell.
I'm interested in honesty. So you see the contradictions, too. Thanks for that!

I should qualify that. I am interested in his opinion, but that is not the matter under consideration here. (I disagree with his opinion, but that's my opinion!)
