Hopefully O'Mara has been notified of the change in charges. Maybe it's a dumb argument, but I'd think it would be good to highlight the changes the State made both to their case (they started saying GZ was on top; changed to TM on top but trying to get away) and their charges (only charged with 2nd degree murder, NOT child abuse, manslaughter, felony murder, etc).

I didn't know that was coming. How could they possibly argue that this was any kind of child abuse? He was a fully developed, fully grown 17 year old young man who, by evidence and eyewitness testimony, was on top of and beating the tar out of GZ.

They consider anyone under 18 a child. I thought you had seen that uproar on Twitter. And I think that we have argued that if he is old enough to join the military, he is then an adult. Also we have argued that many teens have been tried as adults. But, the consistent view is that he is a child, perpetuated by his 12-year old photos all over the MSM - distortion.

I think the question would be how Florida law defines a child. I don't know how it is defined.
