The House has a new plan to ease the shutdown blues
“We’re going to keep passing bills on suspension that’ll continue to fund parts of government, and we’ll send them over to [Senate Majority Leader] Harry Reid’s desk and say keep the government running,” Louisiana Rep. John Fleming told reporters Tuesday. “We’re kind of reversing his argument, which is ‘let’s fully fund government then talk,’ what we’re saying is: ‘Let’s talk while we’re fully funding government on a piecemeal basis.’ And unfortunately he’s probably going to block the funding part, we’ll see.”

Darrell Issa (R)and Del. Holmes Norton (D) have formed an alliance to support funding DC in a single CR. Darrell Issa has said, ""I will whip every Republican to vote yes."

Re: BREAKING: The House has voted to Delay ObamaCa
Mini CR's are about to be voted on in the House, needing a 2/3 majority to pass.
First CR would reopen National Parks
Second CR funds DC Government
Third CR would fund Veteran Benefits.
Reports are saying that Obama has vowed to veto today's bill to provide funding for veterans benefits. He won't compromise, even to help veterans.

Chris Matthews: Obama Has "Met His Match" In Ted Cruz
CHRIS MATTHEWS: I think Ted Cruz is brilliant. I think the president has met his match in this guy. He set this thing up months ago with no budget agreement, therefore no appropriations, therefore the government would be completely exposed this morning, at midnight last night, to go to, to completely shut down. So he knows what he's doing. And it's about the baby, Obama’s baby. And you can't cut the baby in half. We learned that in Solomon. And they keep saying, 'please negotiate your baby, please help us take it apart.'
