the " utter flop" was because of overload from interested people.

CA had less than a million looking at its exchange. LA didn't have a single person sign up on theirs. CT had only 120-something sign up. It wasn't just people signing up. It was people, like me, looking to see what it was about, what the rates were, etc. It's been an complete and utter enrollment FLOP.

1) People didn't like Romney. 2) the msm covered obumer on Benghazi and his record, but released a ton of negative press on Romney. 3) obumer's first term made people poorer and gave them benefits...people love freebies and will vote any moron like obumer who wants to keep giving freebies. And there are more reasons, but that's the basics, kid.

Re-electing a President is not the same as saying you agree with 100% of his agenda, and that you are giving him a blank check. The majority of the people do not want Obamacare, and the Republican majority in the house are therefore duty bound to oppose it.

I can answer for those of us who refused to follow Faux News and the MSM. Romney already had a similar healthcare plan in MA and he agreed with a lot of Obama's policies. All of that has already been discussed here during the primaries.
Those that didn't vote for ORomney did so because they didn't trust him. Why would we trust that he would defund Obamacare when he had the same healthcare plan implemented in MA? No one wants Democrat lite from the Republican Party. That's the point and not that people voted FOR Obama and Obamacare. They voted against ORomney.
I'm not sure the GOP Establishment has learned their lesson. You can see that in their vitriolic criticism for Senator Ted Cruz.

Let me let you in on a little secret, DM! The reason Obumer won was he got votes from 58 states. 57 that he had visited and the other one that he had yet to visit. And by the way, this was taken from his own words..... 57 states. You and Obumer are two peas in a pod!

For those concerned about the 800,000 Federal workers on furlough, they are on paid vacation! No need to feel sorry for them.

I am a federal worker and that is not what I'm being told. After some previous shutdowns Congress has authorized back pay for furloughed employees. But today's congress is nothing like prior ones and nothing says this is going to happen this time around. Also, with sequestration still in place for FY2014, I would not be surprised if it becomes a matter of taking the days without pay now or sacrificing the same in days off without pay during 2014. I fear it may even be both.

Retroactive pay for furloughed government workers just passed on the House Floor 1 minute ago.
