What song is on your mind?

PO, what stuck out first about this video is that he mentioned Brandon Manning, and to breathe in saying "Abba" and to breathe out saying something else. Brandon Manning is a proponent of contemplative prayer. You probably wouldn't have known that, but because of our discussion earlier on the subject, that might be of interest to you.

Once he mentioned that, and the kind of weird way the song was played and sang, I really didn't get much out of the song, but then again, to be fair, I know that music is like that... what appeals to one, does nothing for someone else.

Actually, I didn't know that. I just like this type of piano expression. I listen to a lot of Jim Brickman. Anything with piano or sax will cause me to look up and take notice.

What I got out of the song is that I have felt God to be more present and powerful than the elements around me. So, in that regard, I identified with the song - "You're more real than the ground I am standing on..."

I have been in dark places where I could only, audibly, say, "Thank you for allowing me to pray and feel your presence today." In those dark moments he is very real, more real than I feel that I am real.

I could see that being a hindrance. If I don't like a performer, I am not going to get into their song, so I get that.

And, really, I might have changed this line to something else - "You're closer than the skin on my bones"

That is a little creepy sounding. It doesn't sound as awesome as - "You're more real than the ground I am standing on".
