1) see the short reply
2) when tithes were written about, the church was entirely different than now. your understanding here may undergo several changes. let the spirit be your guide. i no longer feel correct paying tithes to a guy driving the nicest car in the parking lot, to a mortgaged church ($ loaned at interest)
3) Paul plainly told us that prophecy would cease; a fairly strong argument can be made that in order to prophesy, there must be a canon open to record the prophecy. i think what we call modern-day prophecy is better termed visions or dreams, perhaps. what can one 'prophesy' that is not already in Scripture, without adding to it?

loved the PI,stationed there at Cubi Point about...6 lifetimes ago; great people. i'll reply whenever you post, mostly, but see that i am a heretic now peace to you
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. You have a nice sense of humor.

There are many Pinays in the US. :-)
About your post, I just saw the edited one. I didn't know what the original post was. I just saw a period. Not sure if it meant anything, though.

sorry; implied in your description, at the end, is either "Christian"--and i get stupid when people try to append anything onto that--or "Church," meaning a congregation of believers gathered together to undoubtedly get a loan at interest to buy a building to congregate in, thereby ruining the premise that they initially joined together for irreparably. ya, that helped try Google! and best of luck. start one in your home, i say, and refuse to accept money, especially money issued as a debt instrument, which it all is now, minus...3 countries. yikes, only three now?
