Ah; and what is the consensus

When all of the sages in history verify that there is only one way? ok. Christ put it perfectly--but you have taken it to mean that one may accept Christ with their mouth! And, you surely also believe that one can worship God in a church building on Sunday, also. I wish you the best of luck with all of that.

Recognize (in general, not you, Luke) that it is the height of hypocrisy to stand there muttering "Mooslem bastards" as you are filling up your gas guzzler at the 'service' station. We are all full of hypocrisy, and as a rule what comes out of ones mouth is irrelevant; particularly to themselves

I simply accept that Jesus meant what He said when He said that He was the only way.

How does one overlook the denial of God?

that is a beautiful creedo to follow, and i can find no fault in that. Please accept the God in Christ, and that His Words have spiritual meanings that your teachers were duty-bound to misrepresent to you. Verbally correct, with a distorted spiritual meaning. Read some Matthew Fox--you don't have to agree with every word. Don't even like read the words, so much as get the feel of it. God won't let you go astray if you are seeking Him. Creation is continuous, and never stops. Understand I AM. and how silly the divide you imagine might be. It was MANUFACTURED FOR YOU.

Jesus was and is God. Ah so you beleive that we should instead of simply taking scripture at face value we should look for deeper meanings by spiritualizing the text. Much like Origen taught.

hmm, i don't think that is a fair characterization. More like relate your experience to Scripture, thereby validating It. I mean, you are doing this right now anyway

Do you believ that the bible is the absolute truth thereby making it the standard whereby to judge everything else?

...you mean the one implicit in your exclusion of another believer's Name for their One God, when that religion openly accepts believers of your creed, or the imaginary demon that was MANUFACTURED FOR YOU as a boogeyman to 'keep you on the path?' ya.

By reading and studying the Bible alone would I find that there are many ways to Heaven? In other words would your beliefs pass the sola scripture test?

well, you say "many ways" because possibly you have been conditioned to exclude based upon manipulatable appearances instead of include based upon spiritual principles. Parsing the words of his answer to that question, whatever it may be, will not get you any closer to whether Allah is God for a believer that will be accepted by God or not.
